GreenPeas is seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Assistant to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing our seasonal workforce. At GreenPeas, we value not only our products but also our people, and we're looking for someone who shares our passion for growth.

 

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

As an HR Assistant at GreenPeas, you will be at the forefront of managing our seasonal workforce and ensuring their well-being throughout their employment journey. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Recruitment A to Z - Handling the entire recruitment process for approximately 300 romanian seasonal workers.
  • Workforce Management - Comprehensive planning and execution of employment processes, including onboarding, offboarding, training, and caretaking of seasonal workers.
  • Work Administration - Efficient work administration, encompassing work allocation, registration, training, supervision, and transportation logistics.
  • Employee Administration - Detailed employee administration, handling salary processing, tax applications, holiday pay, and related matters.
  • Certifications - Ensuring compliance with certifications such as GRASP and Global GAP.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks - Undertaking various ad-hoc HR and personnel administration tasks.
  • Promoting Human Welfare and Values - Actively promoting and integrating human welfare and values among seasonal workers.

 

Qualifications:

  • Insight into and understanding of Danish and Romanian culture and the differences between these.
  • Fluency in Romanian and English is mandatory; Danish language skills are an advantage.
  • Relevant HR experience is beneficial, but not a requirement. A willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ability to plan, structure and manage yourselves in relation to the company needs.
  • Possess insight into personnel law and legislation or be eager to research and learn.
  • Team player with a holistic and perspective view.
  • Proactive with the ability to maintain an overview in complex situations.
  • Great self-awareness and self-reflection.
  • Mature and respected behaviour, guided by fairness and without inequality-creating behaviour.
  • A positive attitude towards challenges, with strong goal-oriented willpower.
  • Ability to remain optimistic and maintain a positive mindset, even under difficult conditions.
  • Empathetic, self-aware, and curious nature.
  • Enjoyment of working in a busy environment, with a wide range of employee interactions, and a capacity to make a positive and understanding impact.
  • Proficient in Excel and other technologies.
  • Availability to work extended hours during the peak season (May to September).

GreenPeas is the leading European producer of fresh green peas used as a nutritious protein snack. Our company is comprised of a dedicated team of year-round employees and a seasonal workforce. We operate in multiple countries, with primary production sites in Denmark and Portugal. The HR Assistant role is centralized in Denmark.

GreenPeas is currently in a significant development phase from both a business and values perspective. Every year, our green peas are meticulously hand-picked by 250-300 seasonal workers during the peak season from May to September.
